TOUR THE KULEN MOUNTAIN AND THE CAMBODIAN COUNTRYSIDE

TOUR DESCRIPTION. Tour Mount Kulen, Beng Mealea and visit the Cambodian countryside for a full day on a private basis and with a guide who speaks English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese, Russian or Japanese. The tour includes a minibus dedicated to you, tickets, fees and lunch.

The trip begins by visiting Mount Kulen, which was the first holy city of King Jayavarman II, also called the divine king and founder of the Angkor era. This is one of the sacred mountains of Cambodia.

Built into a riverbed in the mountains you will find the River of a Thousand Lingas carved in the 9th century to purify the water that flowed over them.

Here you will also find a large statue of Buddha: 3 x 8 m, carved into the rock and dating back to the sixteenth century. Lunch on site

In the afternoon you will visit to the fascinating temple of Beng Melea recently opened to tourists and still half immersed in the jungle. And finally you will visit the Cambodian countryside to see the rural life in Cambodia based around rice paddies, sugar palms, oxen, and genuine people.

ITINERARY

8:00 Pick up from the hotel

-Visit mount Kulen where the first sacred city of the Angkor era was founded

-Visit the river of a Thousand Lingas and the great statue of Buddha

-Lunch in a typical Cambodian restaurant

-Visit the fascinating temple of Beng Melea, recently opened to tourists and still partly immersed in the jungle.

Visit the Cambodian countryside to observe rural life

-17:00 Return to the hotel

-Pick up and drop off from your hotel (the tour begins and ends in the lobby of your hotel where you will be picked up and taken back to once the tour has finished).

-Tourist guide who speaks English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese, Russian or Japanese, and with a license and who is selected out of the best in the country.

-A minibus and driver dedicated to you for the entire duration of your tour

-Entrance tickets and/or fees.

-On the out of town trips lunch is also included (however it is not included in the city excursions if not expressly mentioned).

Tour Transport.

We only employ safe and careful drivers and use the most modern and comfortable air conditioned minivan and coach. We will provide transport dependent on your group size as follows.

Group size 1-9 persons: modern minibus with air-conditioner 9 passenger seat format or modern and confortable pick up with air-conditioner (only for groups of 1-4 people).

Group size 10-13 persons: modern minibus with air-conditioner- 13 passenger seat format.

Group size 13+ persons: we can either use multiple minibuses or a full sized passenger coach in a 24, 32 or 40 seat format.

Guides.

A Tourist Authority of Thailand licensed and English, Chinese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, French, Spanish, German, Korean, Japanese, Thai or Italian speaking guide will be provided. We provide separate drivers and your guide will not be driving the vehicle.
